As far as costs you should expect, consider the following: Inventory Production Cost approx 500-3000 units, Shipping Expenses, Marketing and Promotional Expenses (PPC, Giveaways), Amazon Seller Central Membership Fee, FBA Fees (FBA Fulfillment Fee, Monthly Storage Fee, Long-Term Storage Fees, Removal Order Fees).
